Bamburgh

The Potted Lobster

Wow - wonderful menu, great seafood and a cool interior. This gets a definitely gets a thumbs up from us and the Chronicle's secret diner. You'll need to book well in advance though.

Lord Crewe and the Wynding Bar

We love the new decor here. Very coastal chic. The tea rooms at the front are delightful and the cakes and scones rather impressive. Great coffee too.

Some friends who recently frequented the Wynding Bar and Restaurant for dinner were very impressed.

The Castle Inn

Good pub grub. Their Bouillabaisse is a particular favorite of mine! There is a large pleasant 'family' dining area out the back or stick to the more traditional, cozy pub decor at the front.

Victoria Hotel

The main hotel in Bamburgh. We have not been here for quite a while - their new menu looks tasty though and I've just noticed that you can pre-order fish and chips to collect! A bonus if you don't fancy the drive to Seahouses.

Ellingham

The Pack Horse

A charming gastro pub that's been recently refurbished to a charming standard. It serves generous portions of very tasty food - you will not leave hungry!

Lucker

The Apple Inn and the Apple Core. Good food with easy dining especially the Apple Core if you have little ones as they have plenty of pizza options and divine Nutella, marshmallow and banana pancakes - watch out waistline!
